We found this while leafing (well, thumbing actually) through Elle magazine – le version français – and came upon a review for Alcazar, a restaurant in Paris. The review was good and can be found here. More importantly, we fell in love with the table decor. It is so simple to recreate yourself:
Candles of different colors and lengths
Candle holders of different sizes, heights and shapes
Dishes of a solid color
Mixed and mismatched glasses
Flowers: tulips in purple or pink
The dishes and flower ideas are suggestions only as really, there are no rules. You can make your table decor as opulent and mismatched as you want or keep it sleek and modern.
Wine recommendations: a starter set from our wine shop. Mix a cuvée with your guests and label it “the night of the candle” on a label you design yourself. Order the wine blend and send your guests a bottle each. What lovelier way to say thank you for a wonderful evening?
